How does tipping work in Egypt, Jordan & Israel?
Tipping is a part of the culture, and it helps to support workers' families by providing a fruitful livelihood. Therefore, our guideline as a company is to tip higher than you may find when generally researching online and you will want to account for all professionals whom you will encounter during your stay (ex. tour guide, driver, camel crew, bellman, Nile Cruise staff, etc). For exact amount recommendations, please contact our team and we will be happy to provide you with our sample tipping guidelines.
What should I pack for my trip?
Because temperatures may vary from city to city and temperatures may change drastically between the day and nightfall, we highly recommend bringing a variety of clothing and packing in layers. Below are our most highly recommended packing items based on client experience:
Casual attire (this is accepted at all major touristic locations)
Women should bring a scarf to cover their hair at Mosques
Dresses and skirts reaching below the knee are recommended Jacket, windbreaker, or fleece; comfortable walking shoes
Warm-weather gear if going to the desert overnight (scarf, hat, gloves, socks, or thermal underwear, headlamp)
Sunscreen, hat/visor, sunglasses and bathing suit
Tissue/kleenex, travel pillow and light travel blanket, music/movies
